Zonin 1821 Prosecco NV Region: Prosecco DOC Varieties: Glera Prosecco takes its name from a quaint hilltop town near Trieste, in Friuli Venezia Giulia. ZONIN1821 has established itself as one of the most important wine producers in the world. It works according to the simple philosophy that “Each region has its own traditions and its own wines” After careful pressing of the grapes, the resulting must is divided into two batches: half undergoes an initial fermentation at 64°F, while the rest is stored at 32°F and kept unfermented. Later, the must is combined and, following the traditional Charmat method, transferred to stainless steel tanks under pressure, where the wine acquires its famous sparkling properties. This sparkling wine is refined and elegant, enhanced by pleasant fruit notes. On the palate it is dry and pleasantly fruity with a fresh, aromatic note on the finish; revealing plenty of almonds and hints of fresh citrus. It is paired with a wide choice of dishes: with Caprese salad, crab cakes, baked salmon with lemon and basil, chicken and green pesto pasta or exquisite desserts.

Marchese Antinori Cuvée Royal Franciacorta Brut N.V. Region: Lombardy Varieties: Chardonnay & Pinot Nero & Pinot Bianco Created from the interaction between the Antinori family’s expertise and the demonstrated high viticultural quality of a given territory, Franciacorta, the “Classics” – Marchese Antinori Cuvée Royale, Rosé and Blanc de blancs – are produced from a selection of Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco grapes. The Montenisa estate is located around the hamlet of Calino, near Lake Iseo in the heart of the Franciacorta appellation. The vineyards surrounding the Maggi family’s own villa have been the heart of Marchese Antinori Franciacorta production since 1999.The must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle and the wine remains on its lees for 36 months before destemming. Light yellow in colour with creamy bubbles and an elegant and persistent shine. The aromas are reminiscent of white peaches, bread crusts and yeast. The remarkable balance and vitality are typical of a well-made Brut. The ideal temperature for serving wine is between 45° and 48° Fahrenheit (7°-9° Celsius). The wine’s fruity and floral aromas make it particularly suitable as an aperitif or with hors d’oeuvres of fish, vegetables and white meat.
