This sparkling wine is refined and elegant, enhanced by pleasant fruit notes. The Montenisa estate is located around the hamlet of Calino, near Lake Iseo in the heart of the Franciacorta appellation. The vineyards surrounding the Maggi family’s own villa have been the heart of Marchese Antinori Franciacorta production since 1999.The must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle and the wine remains on its lees for 36 months before destemming. Light yellow in colour with creamy bubbles and an elegant and persistent shine. The aromas are reminiscent of white peaches, bread crusts and yeast. The remarkable balance and vitality are typical of a well-made Brut. The ideal temperature for serving wine is between 45° and 48° Fahrenheit (7°-9° Celsius). The wine’s fruity and floral aromas make it particularly suitable as an aperitif or with hors d’oeuvres of fish, vegetables and white meat.
